The Impact of a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer at Coupa:
As a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer at Coupa, you play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our global platform. You maintain and optimize large-scale production systems, automate deployments through CI/CD and configuration tools, and proactively monitor and resolve issues to minimize downtime. Your expertise in cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code practices drives continuous improvement, while your close collaboration with Development and QE teams supports fast, stable software delivery. Through a focus on operational excellence and critical thinking, you help elevate the overall quality and resilience of Coupa's systems.
What You'll Do:
Administer Linux systems, web/app servers, databases, and cloud infrastructure for customer environments
Own and support Dev and Quality Engineer infrastructure, including troubleshooting and debugging
Perform on-demand deployments for Dev and QE environments
Write clean, maintainable, and testable scripts in Bash and/or Ruby
Collaborate with Dev and Quality Engineering teams to resolve technical issues
Continuously seek improvements in platform performance, process efficiency, and cost optimization
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience managing large-scale production systems
Strong hands-on experience with Unix, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), and configuration management (Chef, Ansible, Puppet)
Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, ECS
Exposure to cloud technologies (preferably AWS), SRE/DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code
Familiar with monitoring and incident tools like New Relic and PagerDuty
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills; collaborative experience with distributed teams
