BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years as a law-firm, in-house, or government attorney supporting technology-related legal
work.
• Be inquisitive and enthusiastic about technology, enjoy being continually challenged, and can
exercise sound judgment in a rapidly evolving environment.
• Experience negotiating complex technology agreements.
• Excel in simplifying complex legal and technical concepts, making them accessible to a variety of
stakeholders.
• Possess a working knowledge of the contracting and regulatory landscape impacting
technology.
• Experience in researching, monitoring, and advising clients on legal risks involved in the use of
new technologies.
• Law degree and an active member of a U.S. State bar
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Contracting experience with cloud vendor licensing agreements.
• Fluency in infosec, IP, and operational compliance laws.
• Work history in a tech-adjacent legal role or prior work experience in a technical
field.
• Working knowledge of open-source software licensing varieties and concepts.
• Privacy/security certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPT, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, etc.).
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, engineering, scientific or a related
field.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $167,300 to $278,900.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
