Roles and Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant you will work in a collaborative and diverse team environment providing many opportunities to have an active voice. You will advise clients on their Supply Chain and Operations strategy and work with them to implement next generation solutions.
You will advise and architect in manufacturing automation projects using a mix of traditional and emerging technology to build unique solutions for each client. You will guide a dynamic team that directly contributes and influences the ultimate client outcomes we care so much about. You will use your deep automation skills and enterprise solutions experience to build solutions on top of a deep technological stack. This requires focus from the initial development of physical to digital signal (sensor) networks up through IIoT systems and the digital to physical return of those signals to change our client way of operating. We work with a wide variety of clients, often in a factory / plant environment, where you will be exposed to an even wider variety of processes and technologies.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience with engineering, supply chain operations and/or IT Supply Chain with extended knowledge of core manufacturing processes and plant floor equipment and operations
Ability to articulate the benefit and structure of solutions while understanding the technical aspects of clients and project teams
Significant project experience (10+ projects) and capability to specify Industrial Automation platforms (Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and/or Process Historians (real-time database)
Knowledge in Industrial sensor selection and specification
Proficiency in Industrial Networks Communication media and protocols (Ethernet, RS232/485, Ethernet IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, BACnet, and Profibus
Ability to configure, maintain and resolve centralized collection systems via high level communication protocols (OPC-UA/DA, MQTT, et al)
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering-related discipline
Ability to travel to client sites 80-100% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with prevalent programming languages (C, Java, SQL, Javascript, Python, Swift, PHP) in a software development environment as well as with evolving IIoT platforms (PTC Thingworx, SAP MII, Mindsphere)
Desire to learn and use cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc)
Knowledge of enterprise wide network architectures and design principles
Ability to specify both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) infrastructures/equipment (Ethernet and Wireless)
Detailed understanding of ISA-95 model of interface between automation and enterprise systems along with basic knowledge of other relevant standards (ISA-88 and ISA-99)
Fundamental awareness of common ERP/PLM platforms and data structures
Intermediate level understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, RUP, other) with experience working within several teams and projects
Established track record of working directly with clients and teams with the ability to capture ideas and knowledge that will lead to significant value realization
Advanced Degree in Engineering-related discipline.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $108,000 to $220,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
