Supervise Team Performance: Directly supervise AP Specialists, including recruiting, training, setting goals, coaching, and evaluating performance to ensure high standards of quality and productivity.
Manage AP Close Cycle: Oversee the AP close cycle, monitor payment processing volumes, and ensure timely payments across all channels.
Implement Process Improvements: Continuously assess and enhance current processes and procedures, designing controls to ensure segregation of duties and robust internal controls.
Ensure Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing vendor transactions.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work cross-functionally to support data quality, respond to audit inquiries, and meet regulatory requirements.
Handle Escalations: Identify and prioritize escalation issues and inform management as appropriate.
Support System Enhancements: Partner with IT to troubleshoot system issues, recommend and test enhancements, and implement solutions efficiently.
Provide Reporting and Analytics: Prepare reports and perform data analysis to offer insights and support decision-making for stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 5+ years of AP experience, with an associate's degree (supervisory experience is a plus).
Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ability to assess the impact of AP transactions on the general ledger.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate team members, with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Oracle Financial or other ERP systems preferred.
Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and maintain confidentiality.
Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally and foster positive working relationships across teams.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to report to the Camp Hill office up to 2 days a week and travel by airplane to other office locations as required.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
