As a key leader in our people-first approach, the HR Operations Supervisor - Leave of Absence shapes an exceptional employee experience by managing in-house leave programs (FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation) and accommodations. This role combines deep, hands-on expertise with a commitment to compliance, fostering a culture of care and support during pivotal moments in employees' lives. You'll collaborate across departments, mentor a dedicated team, and streamline HR processes to provide seamless, compassionate assistance that empowers employees to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Champion Employee Well-Being: With hands-on expertise, lead in-house administration of leave programs (FMLA, ADA, Workers' Comp), ensuring compassionate support during important life events
Ensure Compliance & Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally to harmonize HR processes and maintain detailed compliance with all relevant laws
Lead with Heart: Manage, coach, and empower a team of 8-9 Case Managers to deliver outstanding service to employees
Prioritize Key Employee Moments: Guide interactions around benefits, accommodations, and retirement with empathy and professionalism
Drive Team Excellence: Conduct regular one-on-ones, quality reviews, and performance evaluations to support growth
Promote Continuous Improvement: Develop team growth plans and pursue process innovations to improve employee experience
Elevate Employee Experience: Act as an expert resource, guiding Case Managers through complex LOA and accommodation cases
Facilitate Clear Communication: Lead team meetings and harmonize processes for alignment and clarity
Innovate with Data: Use data and process mapping to identify efficiency opportunities and enhance the employee journey
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing in-house leave of absence, accommodation processes, and team, leading and mentoring a team
Skills and Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation requirements and experience with in-house management of these programs, without reliance on outsourcing or third-party assistance
Expertise in developing, implementing, and refining in-house LOA and accommodation protocols and procedures
Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
Ability to use data to drive decisions, identify improvements, and develop strategies that boost team performance and satisfaction
Proficient with HRIS systems, leave management platforms, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $100,000.00/Year
