Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH Wireless seeks a Principal RF Design Engineer to bolster our national team, reporting to the Head of National RF and collaborating with cross-functional market teams.
In this role, you will:
Conduct RF design tasks vital to establishing the inaugural standalone 5G broadband network in the US.
Utilize Monte Carlo analysis for evaluating network capacity.
Determine equipment and power configurations.
Collaborate with RF Management and Technology teams to define design criteria, link budget, and traffic analysis for network design, continually enhancing performance parameters.
Serve as a mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and support in their professional development.
Act as a technical authority and resource within the team, providing expert advice and solutions to complex RF design challenges.
Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in RF design, problem-solving, and project management.
Develop Macros and possess proficiency in Python, Java, and PowerShell.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
As a successful Principal RF Design Engineer, you will have:
BSCS degree required, MScEE degree preferred
6+ years LTE RF Design experience, 10+ years overall wireless experience
Proficiency in 3G/4G/5G cellular technology and NR theory
Expertise in macro and small cell RF designs, including RF KPIs and link budgets
Experience with EME and FCC reports
Full understanding of 5G NR technology and O-RAN Architecture
Proficient in setting up and utilizing LTE/5G design and optimization equipment
Familiarity with propagation planning tools like Planet or Atoll
Knowledge of drive test data post-processing and interference analysis
Ability to write and maintain MOPs and provide SME support to markets
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $208,725.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
