Skills, Experience and Requirements

Basic Requirements:

A successful Staff Software Engineer - will have:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or or equivalent professional experience

• 8+ year of backend development experience

• Strong system design skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure

• Hands-on experience. Proficient at writing code and debugging issues.

• Experience with one or more of the following:

• Microservice architecture, pattern based enterprise development experience using one of the languages (GoLang, Python, Java)

• Good understanding of SQL and data modeling.

• Worked with NoSQL data stores Cassandra or DynamoDB or RDBMS like Postgres DB / MySQL DB

• Automated testing of applications & Continuous Integration

• Experience writing and building API systems using REST / JSON

Nice to have qualifications:

• Familiarity with Cloud Native tools - Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Automated testing, building Cloud Native Applications, Git, Consul, Vault

• Familiarity with SpringBoot

• Messaging system such as Kafka/RabbitMQ

• Scripting ability (Bash / Shell, Python etc)

• Familiarity with SRE tools: New Relic, DataDog, Kibana, ELK
