The impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the Development family your will be responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Application Support Engineering role specializes in maintaining and providing technical support for all applications that are beyond the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. Works closely with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal / external clients to escalate and resolve technical support incidents.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Perform deep analysis to identify potential inefficient points and implement simple & powerful tools to reduce/forecast/eliminate future failures
Automate application alert trends to achieve risk reduction and failure prevention.
Analyze existing knowledge articles and runbooks for any inefficiency.
Collaborate with multiple teams to achieve consolidated monitoring platforms.
Review and finalize response to requests for information.
Enable Automated Disaster Recovery monitoring scripts in response of planned and unplanned outages, ensuring appropriate steps are automated with limited user intervention.
Design and implement automation to reduce the cost of ongoing application monitoring
Integrate with application to achieve application transparency to expose potential issues and future outages.
Facilitate internal review and validation of support and resiliency Non-Functional Requirements during the development phase of new applications or new amendments.
Help application teams to automate their existing manual password procedures.
Coordination of the pre-production/post-production application with necessary monitoring and tooling.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
Hands-on Experience in Linux command or admin experience
Hands-on Shell Scripting, Python, Perl, and Unix Shell Scripts
Service Now, Jira and similar tools experience is plus
Monitoring/Big data tools like Splunk is a plus
