    Position summary

    TCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).

    The impact you will have in this role:

    Being a member of the Data Risk Management (DRM) team, the DRM Associate Director will be responsible for overseeing the DRM Validation function, which is a second line of defense process to test adherence to the DTCC Data Risk Management Standards. The Aligned Data Risk Management team reviews and tests design and operating effectiveness of controls implemented by the first line of defense to mitigate inherent data risks at DTCC. The team conducts Quarterly Business Monitoring meetings with each Information Domain and respective Data Stewardship team to identify data risk trends, new material data risks, or control breakdowns that may be indicative of changes to the data control environment. The team also serves as the primary liaison between the first line of defense and Data Risk Management, providing advice and guidance to Data Stewardship teams as it pertains to the management of data risk.

    Your Primary Responsibilities:

    • Lead the Aligned Data Risk Management team and all aspects of the DRM Validation function

    • Validate and monitor residual data risk resulting from inherent risk mitigated by preventative and detective data controls

    • Identify, document and report observations and findings due to non-compliance with the DTCC Data Risk Management Standards, and track remediation through to closure

    • Provide strategic and proactive consultation in identifying data risk exposures and developing mitigation plans

    • Provide advice, guidance, and support to the first line of defense to understand and align with the DTCC Data Risk Management Standards

    • Review and approve Data Risk Management deliverables from the first line of defense

    • Document the process used to validate the controls that mitigate inherent data risk

    • Partner with the Data Risk Management members and stakeholders to enhance data risk management practices, processes, and procedures

    • Collaborate and work with other control functions in support of managing data risk, as described in the Data Risk Management Framework

    • Participate in the Data Risk Working Group

    • Conduct Data Risk Quarterly Business Monitoring of Information Domains to detect early warning signals of increased data risk exposure

    • Partner with industry leaders and associations to define data management practices

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 8 years of related experience

    • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience

    Talents Needed for Success:

    • Familiarity with banking, financial institutions, financial instruments, and capital markets

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience applying fundamental data management practices using tools such as Collibra for data governance / metadata management, and Informatica for data quality

    • Proven data and digital literacy and understanding of and experience with basic technical concepts, including technical data lineage

    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
