    The Impact you will have in this role:

    Being a member of the Information Technology business unit, the Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. The Executive Director Application Support Engineering role specializes in maintaining and providing technical support for all applications that are beyond the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. The candidate works closely with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal / external clients to escalate and resolve technical support incidents and may include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions.

    Your Primary Responsibilities:

    • Ensure accurate disciplines and controls within the IT environment, as evidenced by strong audits and exams.

    • Serve as a "Change Agent" who brings a sense of urgency and can mobilize resources and implement initiatives on time.

    • Understand how technology works, bring a passion for technology, know the questions to ask, and be able dig into the details.

    • Develop a positive relationship with business line leaders, IT members, and the operations team. Understand the business/process making sure the technology delivery is seamless.

    • Communicate technical issues to a non-tech audience and to be an effective bridge from business to technology.

    • Optimally plan and track multiple large and/or complex projects and communicate status to management and project teams. Identify problem areas and alternative solutions.

    • Listen, learn, adapt, share, and advance ideas that support the vision of a world-class infrastructure.

    • Fosters a risk management culture through implementation and demonstration of processes and procedures which identify and mitigate risk.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 15 years of related experience.

    • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

    The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
