The Impact you will have in this role:
The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) role encompasses automation development and execution, functional, and non-functional testing. The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and execute automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute expertise in the application of different software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologies
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the delivery lifecycle
Contribute to the design of the automation framework and enhancement
Maintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts
Identify dependencies, define, and communicate environmental and data requirements
Act as a technical expert on one or more applications utilized by DTCC
Research and evaluate technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standards
Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
Partner with team members to understand software requirements and design automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements
Create applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional requirements
Work with peers to mature ways of working to implement and maintain continuous testing within the software delivery processes and integrate automated test with CI/CD pipeline
Collaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and improve overall software quality
Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
