    Position summary

    DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).

    The Chief Client Office (CCO) is passionate about providing a premier Client Experience across all business lines and geographies, enabling enhanced Client Satisfaction, Revenue Growth and Business Line Success. The CCO function includes Growth & Commercial Strategy, Relationship Management, Marketing & Communications and CCO Business Management

    The role of Executive Director, EMEA Strategic Alliances within the Growth & Commercial Strategy team plays a key role in improving outcomes for DTCC and our clients through collaborating with our key partners, vendors and trade associations. You will be responsible for identifying commercial opportunities, partnerships and potential acquisition targets within EMEA to improve DTCC's capabilities. You will do this through capitalizing on and elevating our existing relationships as well as identifying new relationships within nascent organisations that we should seek to partner with. Additionally, you will help provide input into the firm's broader business strategy and value proposition in region.

    To succeed in this role, the individual will need to be passionate about identifying and exploring opportunities to deliver value to DTCC and our customers by supporting, co-creating, developing, and re-designing partner interactions to the benefit of both parties. Through your collaborations, you will contribute to generating ideas to re-imagine processes and market behaviors and apply critical thinking and design frameworks to work with internal and external partners to reinvent the financial network and its interactions with partners and clients. You will collaborate with our internal Business and Product owners, Market Solutions teams, and clients to validate opportunities.

    Your Primary Responsibilities:

    Strategic Alliances

    • Design and implement plans to increase commercial value through our partnerships.

    • Collaborate with our businesses to identify local priorities, define project objectives and deliverables, and lead internal efforts to complete these.

    • Establish strategic plans and a cadence for review for significant relationships, applying clear structure to our EMEA Strategic Alliances programme and a path forward to elevate our presence and touchpoints.

    • Prioritise our partner relationships with key organisations, applying focus where we can drive significant growth, and ensuring key operational activities are covered within the broader DTCC enterprise.

    • Engage and secure new partnerships to bridge a gap in our internal capabilities, address a client needs, and/or respond to emerging opportunities through innovation.

    • Collaborate with key partners to develop strategy, construct partner proposals, and deliver partnership pitches.

    • Identify and establish relationships in the industry to influence a broad base of support of DTCC services, elevating these where possible.

    • Draft cases, see opportunities, and lead partnership plans.

    • Coordinate and facilitate partner meetings, and optimally leading collaborator relationships and team collaboration.

    Emerging Opportunities

    • Collect key insights on industry trends and client intelligence to advise and improve our ideation and opportunity assessment process.

    • Develop subject matter expertise in relevant business areas to assess new opportunities more effectively.

    • Conduct and document opportunity assessments, articulating the business case, partners, client/industry challenges, future state vision, ecosystem map, relevant industry initiatives/developments, and other notable elements of the product or service development.

    • Apply critical thinking skills to re-imagine products, services and business models, developing hypotheses for validation.

    • Lead discussions with internal collaborators, clients and potential third parties/partners to drill into key concepts of the product design and emerge with a well-articulated assessment of the opportunity and the value proposition to DTCC, the client, and the industry.

    • Author market research and thought leadership material and communicate key messaging to internal partners, including senior leadership.

    • Mitigate risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behaviour.

    Talents Needed for Success:

    • Strong understanding and network within the EMEA capital markets and post-trade processing landscape.

    • Strong understanding of new and emerging technologies in the post-trade space.

    • Demonstrates outstanding leadership, influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Intellectually curious and challenges the status quo - not afraid to ask questions and propose solutions to solve problems, including thinking outside of the box.

    • Execution focused and able to coordinate, prioritize and lead multiple streams of work simultaneously.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.

    • Proficient with MS Office suite (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint).

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years of related experience

    • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
