    Position summary

    ending, squatting, and moving up and down ladders throughout the plant.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    A. Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.
    B. Determines necessary parts and material, and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.
    C. Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals.
    D. Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly.
    E. May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.
    F. Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards, and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required.
    G. Executes engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required.
    H. Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach.
    I. Maintains records as required.
    J. Observes all safety and hygiene rules and regulations.
    K. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
    L. Other assignments as required.
    M. Operator of power tools, including battery powered and compressed air

    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:
    • Authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship, now and in the future
    • Must reside within a 50 mile radius of Avery Creek, NC. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Mechanical/Electrical background

    Position Criteria:

    • Able to lift 35 pounds - waist, shoulder, overhead; with or without accommodations

    • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and squat, as it relates to moving materials, as well as moving up and down ladders frequently in relation to material handling; with or without accommodations

    • Able to read blue prints and wiring diagrams

    • Proven history of safe work habits
    • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
    • Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
    • Must be able to work overtime - weekdays and weekends
