What you'll do:
The Country Controller / Specialist FR - EMEA will provide support for all corporate ledger related matters. This role will have a strong focus on compliance, standardization of financial processes within French speaking countries and will act as first level escalation for all corporate matters in the zone while working closely with GFSS, COE and finance teams.
Principal responsibility for this position is to supervise all corporate ledgers in the zone developing a detailed understanding of the corporate ledgers and acting as point of contact for all matters.
Responsible for all reporting for the countries in scope and other statutory compliance (all statistical reporting to government and banks, statutory requirements not fulfilled by other departments etc.)
Act as first point of escalation for various matters (eInvoicing, SAFT, tax inquiries, special projects, SCM and PTP issues etc.)
Ensure control environment. Adherence to all Eaton Policies, US GAAP, SOX and local statutory/tax compliance requirements must be maintained
Partner with the business and finance organization to support all stategic initiatives in the region
Partner with all COEs ( Statutory, Tax, Payroll teams) to help execute business strategies and build business acumen
Support all strategic projects within the region such as tax, restructuring, payroll, system implementations, treasury and other ad-hoc projects
Drive optimization through standardization, simplification and automation of financial processes within the zone, working closely with Controllership and COE teams to build out and achieve the most efficient and effective organization
Support business & accounting and controls processes improvements and transitions
Support all statutory, tax, customs and internal audits
Support month end closing and monthly reconciliation activities
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting / Finance, Master's Degree is preferred
3 or more years of relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance
Skills:
Fluent in French, at least B2 level and fluent business English.
Experience of finance/accounting within a multinational manufacturing environment
Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP and local GAAP desirable.
Ability to operate and deliver independently
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
