spearhead the deployment of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Six Sigma, and Robust Product Engineering for the Power Distribution and Control Assemblies Division. Developing and implementing strategic initiatives to elevate continuous improvement and problem-solving processes, driving impactful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategy Development: Create and execute a comprehensive Six Sigma and New Product Development (NPD) program to foster continuous improvement and robust problem-solving.
Program Support: Collaborate with Black Belts across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing functions.
Mentorship and Training: Mentor and train champions, supervisors, managers, and engineers in DFSS, reliability engineering, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis.
Performance Accountability: Deliver measurable functional performance improvements to enhance global competitiveness and customer satisfaction
DFSS Deployment: Take ownership of DFSS deployment for the Division's Top 5 NPD programs.
What you'll do:
Support and align DFSS initiatives with corporate and sector goals, overseeing ProLaunch/DFSS projects and resource deployment.
Enhance DFSS, reliability engineering, and advanced problem-solving skills for Black/Green Belts, ensuring project goals and sustainable results.
Ensure flawless product/process launches using DFSS methodology, including Design Validation, PPAP, and FAI. Participate in Quality Review Boards and Top 5 NPD programs.
Establish a risk management process to identify and prioritize future DFSS projects aligned with the ProLaunch portfolio.
Develop and conduct training strategies to support improvement processes and tools, updating curriculum as needed and incorporating lessons learned.
Engage in the Eaton Business System, understanding the connections between strategic planning, profit planning, organizational capability, and performance assessment.
Facilitate and sustain change within project teams, processes, and policies using change management knowledge
Lead cost reduction and Black Belt projects to support organizational goals, providing consulting and rapid response as needed.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
5+ years engineering experience
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Design for Six Sigma Black Belt or DMAIC
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and within the future.
Must be able to travel up to 50% to Eaton sites located in Greenwood, SC, Fayetteville, NC and Arden, NC
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Statistics from an accredited university
5+ yrs new product development experience strongly preferred
DFSS Master Black Belt strongly preferred
10+yrs in engineering or quality with at least 5 years in a leadership role
ASQ certification
Experience in Six Sigma tools and process improvement techniques: DFSS, DMAIC, EMQS
