    Position summary

    40 & 14044 to evaluate environmental impacts of Eaton electrical products followed by 3rd party verification to publish type-III Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
    • Support the product engineering teams on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with the electrical product's lifecycle.
    • Contribute in developing ecodesign tools and their implementation during new product introduction process.
    • Compliance to affecting ecodesign-related regulations (e.g. EU-ErP Directive)
    2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Limit yourself to 8 - 12 statements)
    (List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above)

    1. Demonstrates LCA execution using modeling software like EIME (preferably), Simapro, Gabi and contributes to Eaton's efforts on GHG baselining & product emission reduction strategies for electrical products with focus on to -
      a. Understands Product Category Rules/ Product Specific Rules
      b. Defines goal & scope of the study & working closely with product teams to get the required Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data
      c. Develops modular LCA's & creating library of Eaton standard components & processes
      d. Analyses the hot-sports and provide recommendations
      e. Communicate these impacts through publishing EPD's through PEP Ecopassport or other program operators
    2. Demonstrates analytical skills in developing & deployment of Ecodesign tools through Eaton's PROLounch NPI process with focus on to -
      a. Develops & deploys tools and methods to quantify circularity (recyclability, re-usability, durability and disassembly) of products
      b. Develops the methods, tools and contribute to improve product circularity ("Design for Circularity")
    3. Understands requirements related to ecodesign regulations (like ErP regulations) and work with product teams to ensure compliance while releasing new products

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's with 3+ years' experience / Masters with 1 years of experience in LCA, Eco-design Domain.

    • (Advanced) degree in ecodesign related engineering or science (e.g. electrical-/mechanical- engineer, environmental science or alike)
    • Ability to analyze regulations & interpret technical data that can be effectively communicated to product and technology teams
    • Experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and strong project management experience is required.
    • Strong technical knowledge in the field of eco-design and sustainability
    • Ability to collect, understand and communicate complex product-related requirements
    • Ability to support cross-functional process improvement teams
    • Adept to utilization of company-wide system for product-related data management
    • Good command in spoken and written English
