track performance against targets and objectives.
Support creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
Support plant manager in the assignment of MESH element champions and facilitates their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.
Drive and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
Create and facilitates EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
Work with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
Pursue third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton's EHS program as world class.
Use established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.
Creat training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.
Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
Qualifications:
Four year degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent
Advanced degree (Master's level or beyond recommended)
Professional certification (recommended) (Certified Safety Professional
Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or country equivalent where available)
Minimum of 7 years experience in one or more of the applied areas and 5 years working in a business or manufacturing setting
Skills:
Expert knowledge of industry, country and local environmental, health, and safety requirements
Working knowledge of cross-functional EHS disciplines
Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
Ability to speak English and other languages preferred depending on specific position
Ability to demonstrate managerial courage (e.g., managing varied interests representing potential conflicts)Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills
ceptional team-building skills and demonstrated ability to lead through influence at all levels inside and outside Company
Strong organizational skills including ability to manage large number of disparate projects and to track projects through completion
