We are looking for motivated professionals with strong skills in Automation testing who will play a key role in verifying and validating the next-generation technology solutions that change how users connect, explore, and interact with information and devices. QA Engineer will primarily work with development teams in Pune and Europe.

Success in this position requires the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, strong motivation for pursuing project objectives and the ability to learn new techniques and development processes. Qualifications:

• Be part of a Scrum team and proactively communicate with other members as a quality referent (best testing practices, test process, etc.)

• Validate User Stories by participating in acceptance criteria definition and test them

• Constitute a test repository of system tests for end-to-end and regression testing.

• Identify and prioritize manual tests that are good candidates for automation testing.

• Execute manual/automated tests and provide report to the key stakeholders

• Define and execute test campaigns to ensure an efficient coverage of a release based on risk analysis

• Raise and follow defects in our ticketing tool in case of any misbehavior of the application

• Support team members, reporting on what have been validated and demo of new functionalities

• Develop comprehensive V&V plans aligned with product requirements and regulatory standards.

• Define test strategies for functional, performance, reliability, and environmental testing.

• Conduct and oversee verification and validation tests on prototypes and production units.

• Ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and documentation of test results.

• Maintain traceability between product requirements and test cases.

• Ensure all requirements are verified and validated before product release.

• Develop or integrate automated test setups where applicable.

• Utilize tools like LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or other relevant platforms for data acquisition and analysis.

• Prepare detailed test protocols, reports, and compliance documentation.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

• Identify product issues during testing and collaborate with design teams to resolve them.

• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of V&V processes and best practices.

• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across teams.

• Ensure testing activities comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, UL) and internal quality systems.

• Support audits and regulatory submissions as needed.

• Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to align on product goals and timelines.

• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.

• Analyze and validate changes to legacy products, ensuring backward compatibility and documentation alignment.

Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering field.
• 3-5 years of experience in V&V of PLC and HMI-based products or industrial automation systems.
• Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming and testing tools (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi).
• Strong understanding of control systems, industrial protocols, and safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Test Planning & Strategy
• Develop and maintain V&V plans specific to PLC products, including functional, integration, and system-level testing.
• Define test coverage based on product requirements, use cases, and industry standards.
• PLC-Specific Testing
• Validate PLC logic, I/O configurations, communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
• Test ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text programs for correctness and robustness.
• erify real-time performance, fault handling, and safety interlocks.
• Automation & Simulation
• Create test benches and simulation environments for PLC systems.
• Use tools like RSLogix, TIA Portal, Codesys, or similar for test development and execution.
• Requirements Traceability
• Ensure complete traceability between product requirements and test cases.
• Maintain documentation to support audits and regulatory compliance.
• Issue Identification & Resolution
• Identify and troubleshoot issues during testing, working closely with design and firmware teams.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for test failures.
• HMI Testing
• Validate HMI screen navigation, responsiveness, and user interface logic.
• Test data visualization, alarms, trends, and control interactions between HMI and PLC.
• Ensure consistency in screen layouts, language localization, and usability across devices.
• Verify communication between HMI and PLC using protocols like OPC UA, MQTT, or proprietary drivers.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare detailed test protocols, execution logs, and final reports.
• Document deviations, observations, and improvement recommendations.
• Compliance & Standards
• Ensure testing aligns with relevant standards (e.g., IEC 61131, ISO 13849, UL, CE).
• Support certification and regulatory submissions.
• Process Improvement
• Drive continuous improvement in V&V processes, tools, and documentation practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and system engineering teams to align on product goals.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and FMEA sessions.
• Legacy Product Support
• Validate updates or changes to legacy PLC products, ensuring compatibility and documentation accuracy.
