In this function you will:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive data stewardship strategy aligned with business goals. Align approach to Enterprise best practices while tailoring the implementation to business value-add use cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and leverage data-driven opportunities for business process optimization. Leverage modern technology and governance approaches to accelerate data to insights and insights to action.
• Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Monitor and report on data quality metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy and usability.
• Facilitate the provision of high-quality data for AI and analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
• Work with data scientists and analysts to refine data models and improve analytical outcomes.
• Engage with stakeholders across various functions and regions to address data-related issues and support their data needs.
• Leverage Lean to ensure process efficiency, standard work and standard operating procedures follow clear and reliable structure.
• Drive innovation in data stewardship practices to support evolving business requirements.
• Through leveraging Eaton's hybrid approach to data management, Lead and develop a team of data stewards in multiple business functions and sectors, provide mentorship and foster a culture of excellence in data governance.
• Coordinate with regional data stewards to ensure global alignment and adherence to data governance standards beyond initial activation and deployment of teams.
• Oversee Data Quality dashboards.
• Review and remediate data quality issues.
• Communicate and escalate issues as necessary
• Prioritize and manage the execution of remediation action plans for data issues. Ensure data sharing contracts are inclusive of critical data element expectations across organizations. Support the prioritization of CDE data quality improvements in a competing environment.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum ten (10) years experience in large-scale data management and business transformation.
• Minimum six (6) years of Hands-On experience as a data steward or data steward lead.
• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of an Eaton location within the United States.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are vital for this role.
• The ability to communicate with staff at junior and mid-level managers is preferred.
• Strong ability to build relationships across multiple business disciplines, provide general direction and recommendations, comfortable educating in front of large online audiences.
• Problem-solving skills, analytical skills, strategic thinking, and change management skills are also essential.
• You will act partially as a trainer to others in this role, your ability to communicate complex issues in simple ways will be assessed.
• You'll also be expected to write and teach standard operating level procedures to ensure consistency of the stewardship practices across disparate domains.
