    Position summary

    will provide support in functional areas of human resources including: recruitment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, and special projects. You will assist in the development and implementation of HR polices and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings. You will also prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements and organizational needs.

    What you'll do:

    • Communicate and implement corporate, divisional and local HR policies/procedures.

    • Coordinate the recruitment process for open hourly or salary positions and assistance in the selection and promotion process of hourly and salaried workforce.

    • Handle day to day employee relations issues.

    • Maintain affirmative action and EEO plans to meet federal, state and corporate guidelines.

    • Serve as liaison between the Eaton Service Center and third-party providers for employee health and welfare benefits issues.

    • Facilitate employee orientation program for new employees and employees transferring into facility.

    • Support and help coordinate inclusion and diversity activities and Eaton Resource Groups (ERG) activities.

    • Support efforts to maintain positive employee relations and plant culture through knowledge of policies and procedures and responses to employee concerns/needs.

    • Support efforts to accomplish the overall goals and objectives of Human Resources Department.

    • Partner with HR Services to complete employment record and compensation updates and audits.

    • Administrate the end employment process for both voluntary and involuntary separations.

    • Support the safety, quality, and continuous improvement frameworks across the plant.

    • Work in a safe manner and perform other duties as assigned within HR function.

    Qualifications:

    Basic (required) Qualification:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or similar from an accredited institution or a minimum of two years of human resource experience.

    • Must currently reside within a 50-mile radius of the working location to be considered. Active-duty Military are exempt from this geographical limitation.

    • Must be eligible to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources from an accredited institution.

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a union facility.

    • SHRM or PHR certification.

    • Excellent computer skills (Office 365)

    Skills:

    • Demonstrate discretion and ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential materials, and possess good business judgment

    • Knowledge of HR Information Systems.

    • General knowledge of employment laws (such as the ADA, EEO, FLSA, FMLA) and ability to apply legal concepts to real world.

    • Problem solving and analytical skills.

    • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

    • Ability to understand, interpret and easily communicate and align policies and practices.
