    What you'll do:

    This position is responsible for working with the Power Breaker Refurbishment Centre (PBRc), a division of Electrical Engineering Service & Systems (EESS) group, to assist our Electrical & Mechanical Technicians with full scale analysis, repair/assembly and testing of products serviced by our PBRc facility.

    Essential Functions:

    • Assist our PBRc Electrical & Mechanical Technicians in a wide variety of refurbishment, repair, assembly, troubleshooting and wiring of electrical distribution products and systems. This will include:

    • Assisting with performing quality assembly and testing of the complete scope of products serviced by the PBRc facility.Assemble electrical products of all levels including motor controls, circuit breakers, etc. This includes all sub-assemblies to the component level and large-scale units.

    • Visually check components and assemblies for electrical and mechanical defects.

    • Reading and understand blueprint and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.

    • Complete sub-assembly and wiring of any product as assigned.

    • Maintain quality records, calibration records, charts, and area performance to forecast as directed.

    • Receiving direction and assignments from the assigned leader(s) and report any problems to your supervisor.

    • Follow required safety practices.

    • Manage paperwork and office procedures, as required.

    • Perform all work at a high level.

    • Be willing and available to work evenings and weekends, as required by our customers.

    • Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values, as well as Safety and Environmental standards.

    • Perform other duties, as required.

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Degree program or Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma program or registered in Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship.
    • This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must reside within 80km of Kitchener, ON to be considered.
    • No sponsorship provided. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 0 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing electrical controls and/or power distribution products.
    • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
