    Position summary

    ign of Power Distribution modules & Fuse Boxes, Circuit Protection devices (circuit breakers, fuses). In this role, Position will lead technical execution across multiple projects, working closely with engineering managers and cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and timelines. Position will oversee end-to-end product development, from interpreting customer specifications to design, prototyping, and verification and validation (V&V). The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams like application Engg., Manufacturing. Support and SCM across the globe. The incumbent is expected to build good rapport with existing and new customers across the global, predominantly North America. The role will also provide technical guidance to engineers, support design reviews, and ensure alignment with industry standards and customer expectations. It is expected that the position will utilize DFSS concepts / tools such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development &/or existing product improvements

    • Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Lead Engineer - Electrical / Electronics Hardware Design in LV Power Distribution. This position will be based in Pune, India.
    • The individual will be responsible for developing product designs involving electrical / power electronics / hardware design and interface designs from End-to-end.
    • Optimize design for energy efficiency and various performance strategies using physical modeling or simulation tools, and providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and mentoring new engineers.
    • Champions innovative solutions for design and architecture for Power Distribution modules & Fuse Boxes, Circuit Protection devices (circuit breakers, fuses).

    Qualifications:

    Graduate in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
    10+ years with BE or 8+ years experience with ME / MTech

    10+ years with BE or 8+ years experience with ME / M.Tech of industry experience with a proven track record in engineering research, analysis, and product design in Power

    Skills:

    Distribution modules & Fuse Boxes, Circuit Protection devices (circuit breakers, fuses).
    • Hands-on experience in new product development projects within the power distribution or power protection domain.
    • Expertise in hardware system design
    • Experience in end-to-end product development: design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing, and launch support.
    • Exposure to digital communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, RS232, SPI, and I2C.
    • Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice/LTSpice/Simetrix, and PSIM/SABER.
    • Experience in Power Distribution modules & Fuse Boxes, Circuit Protection devices (circuit breakers, fuses) including solid state technology
    • Ability to analyze and simulate power electronics systems including analog, logical, and digital electronics.
    • Familiarity with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation systems.
    • Experience in validation, verification, and certification processes in automotive or electrical domains.
    • Strong understanding of reliability in embedded system design.
    • Knowledge of DFSS tools such as FMEA, FMECA, and Monte Carlo Analysis.
    • Excellent mastery of the FMEA method for new product design.
    • Experience in hybrid and vehicle electrification projects.
    • Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety processes.
    • Knowledge of quality standards and certifications including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
    • Proficiency in advanced problem-solving techniques."
