We're looking for a passionate and solutions-driven engineering professional to join our team as a Power Systems Engineering Lead, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-impact technical expertise to clients. In this dynamic position, you'll provide applied engineering consultation across power systems studies, power quality analysis, substation design, and training-helping us optimize performance, ensure reliability, and drive innovation in their energy infrastructure.
What will you do?
Technical Consultation: Provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas of power systems studies, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair and training.
Project Management: Manage assigned projects and job costs to perform work within budgeted cost estimates Interpret specs and customer inquiries and design technical proposals and pricing for customers.
Customer solutions: Provide technical solutions to customers that may involve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, solutions relating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency.
Engineering design: Perform engineering design duties, which require application of engineering principles.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting, and problem solving relative to power distribution equipment.
Mentorship: Mentor or lead other engineers on projects including reviewing and stamping their work
Training Delivery: Design and conduct specialized training for customers.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
P.Eng. License in any Canadian Province.
Minimum of 5+ years' experience working as Power System Engineer.
Experience in Ground Grid Design with the CDEGS or similar design software.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's Degree focused in Engineering, preferably in Power Systems
Experience in transient analysis
IEEE Membership
Active in Local IEEE
Experience with protective relays is highly desirable
Experience using Power System modelling packages like SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, CYME etc
Advanced experience in multi-function protection relays setting files and logic files.
Short-Circuit Analysis, LV/MV Coordination
Arc Flash studies and mitigations
Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems is highly desirable
Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis is highly desirable

The expected annual salary range for this role is $92,000 - 115,000 a year.
