    What you'll do:

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and draw the necessary mechanical parts, including all dimensions, 2D and 3D models of parts and sub-assemblies, according to the specifications provided by the product architect

    • Analyze and study different concepts to arrive at the best choice/technical compromise

    • Work according to Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles, including careful management of Critical to Quality requirements through the design lifecycle, rigorous knowledge building of the design space, understanding of the effects of manufacturing variation, and design for manufacturing and assembly to meet product recurring cost targets

    • Define the choice of materials with the project and supplier teams

    • Define the Bill of Materials (BOM) of the finished product and mechanical parts, and record them in the R&D systems (ENOVIA, SAP)

    • Evaluate the cost of the chosen technical solutions

    • Define the critical dimensions and review the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) of the parts with the quality department

    Beyond Design Missions:

    • Ensure technological and regulatory compliance and participate in defined working groups

    • Initiate and manage cross-functional and/or specific implementation topics according to project methodologies: coordinate research and simulations of technical solutions

    • Provide technical expertise to the quality department and after-sales service, adopting a structured problem-solving methodology that can lead to the evolution of the defined parts

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in Mechanical Engineering

    • Minimum of 3+ years of experience mechanical design for metal parts and plastic injection molding

    Skills:

    • Knowledge of technical project management and DFSS.

    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize work, ability to work in a team, and ability to work under pressure.
