What You'll Own
As the technical cornerstone of our switchboard engineering group, you'll:
• Spearhead mechanical engineering strategy and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and exceed expectations.
• Lead conceptual design development tailored to customer needs and factory capabilities.
• Oversee system engineering activities, translating complex requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
• Champion design quality, reviewing engineering drawings and ensuring flawless production readiness.
• Serve as a technical mentor and manager, guiding a high-performing team and fostering career growth.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering and manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and reduce cycle time.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve factory and field service challenges with agility and precision.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and innovation, aligned with Eaton's MESH and EQS standards.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering work experience
• Minimum 1 year of managing a team
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of Custom Order Engineering experience
• Minimum 5 years of AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum 3 years managing people

• Effective communication skills (written &verbal) required
• Must be able to work with a sense of urgency
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and take initiative to solve problems
• Demonstrated ability for problem solving using logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirement
• Understanding of UL891, ANSI and NEMA Standards
• Comprehensive knowledge of the application and manufacturing requirements for electrical assemblies
• Leadership experience in a high accountability culture and metrics driven environment.
