We are currently seeking for a Plant Manager responsible for Leadership of the Romanian Operations Network (RONet) for both of our manufacturing plants: Sârbi and Busag.
The role holds overall responsibility for leading plant teams in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals, whilst ensuring that customer value is central to decision-making.
The role provides leadership to all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements, driving performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals, leveraging resources and motivating personnel to create a high performance culture.
In this role, you will continuously improve operations and business processes, leveraging the Eaton's Business System with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement framework / Lean culture and standardization of processes for safety, quality, internal material management, sourcing and cost out, to become a World Class company.
As a Leader, you understand the principles of a digital future, the Factory of the Future, the need for Industry 4.0 and its imperative going forward.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and direct all operations activities to ensure completion of customer requirements.
Assess performance indicators and take appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met.
Provide prudent investment in training and development, capital equipment, and technology development to ensure organizational, manufacturing, product, and market leadership.
Ensure policies, procedures, and other documentation are established to provide consistent and professional operation of all organizational functions.
Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuous improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
Support the product design organization through the new product introduction phase to ensure customer product development and manufacturing delivery times are met.
Ensure Environmental, Health, Safety, Data Security, Waste, and Hazardous Substance issues are addressed in consideration of local laws, local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
Develop and maintain innovative and effective cost-reduction programs throughout operations.
Evaluate operational performance of the group to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.
Develop budgets and resource plans and monitor performance to achieve product delivery and financial requirements.
Coordinate and assist with corporate initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across Eaton Corp.
Drive and develop operational capability to ensure achievement of World-Class and Model Plant performance.
Set the right attitude to develop an excellent Continuous Improvement culture across operations.
Lead and contribute to CI initiatives and act as a leader and facilitator in the adoption of appropriate Industry 4.0 technologies.
Lead necessary Building Organizational Capability actions to ensure a sufficient operational talent pool and succession planning are in place.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience, including Plant Manager or equivalent site leadership experience.
Proven background in multi-year professional and supervisory/managerial roles within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Leadership and Continuous Improvement
Demonstrated passion for, and deep expertise in, Continuous Improvement methodologies and culture.
Strong capability to coach, develop, and inspire multi-site teams to achieve high performance and engagement.
Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional process improvement initiatives across operations.
Track record of building a sustainable Continuous Improvement mindset aligned with business objectives.
Financial and Business Acumen
Solid understanding of financial concepts and analytical techniques used to evaluate and position the value of operational improvements.
Ability to translate operational initiatives into measurable financial and strategic outcomes.
Communication and Stakeholder Management
Fluency in Romanian and English required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent Eaton RONet internally and externally.
Strong leadership presence, interpersonal effectiveness, and social awareness.
Proven capability to establish and maintain proactive, constructive relationships with employee groups, works councils, and trade unions.
Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with local communities and external stakeholders.
Decision-Making and Leadership Competencies
Strong management and leadership capabilities, supported by sound judgment and effective decision-making methodologies.
Ability to make balanced, data-driven decisions in complex operational environments.
