We are looking for a Plant Manager to be joining our team in the Transformer Business Unit.
This role is based on site.
In this role, you will coordinate and support all activities within the production area, ensuring end-to-end responsibility for order execution and engineering.
The role is responsible for achieving targets in safety, quality, delivery performance, inventory, and productivity, including cost management. Additionally, the role fosters and encourages employee engagement by emphasizing safety, continuous improvement, collaboration, and change management. Supports and implements strategic projects and initiatives.
Due to the current situation, a special focus is on operational turnaround initiatives to stabilize and improve the plant performance. Key responsibilities include: facilitating cross-functional alignment across production, quality, EHS, and HR to implement recovery plans and coaching and empowering the local leadership team, fostering ownership and cultural transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement & manage Eaton Philosophy & related Eaton systems within the manufacturing organization, more precisely:
Coordinate & guide all shifts of the manufacturing organization to meet plant objectives:
Ensure timely procurement & installation of capital equipment & tooling:
Ensure quality systems & procedures are maintained & effectively used by the manufacturing group:
Deploy plant & corporate safety procedures & ensure a safe working environment and culture (e.g. machine guarding, life saving rules,...). Maintain compliance with State, local EHS regulation, policies & procedures
Identify & nurture production supervisors, maintenance supervisors, engineering/technical & maintenance support & project & quality engineers. Assist with coordination of development & training for new associates
Inherits the tasks of and acts as plant manager at their absence. Determine & supervise staffing levels of operators, production supervisors, maintenance supervisors, engineering/technical & maintenance support
Advise & participate in activities related to new product in alignment with statistical capabilities & plant objectives
Develop & promote the use of collaborative problem solving techniques to gain improvements in all aspects of Quality & Engineering
Foster positive relationships with all personnel to ensure a productive & efficient workforce. Establish & facilitate effective employee involvement programs
Support with HR Mgr. the works council relationships and answer to the internal requests/issues.
Support, champion and advocate, ISO14001, ISO 50001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001
Ensure that environmental, health, safety, data security, waste and hazardous substance issues are addressed considering local law, local regulations, Eaton policy and good corporate citizenship
Coordinate and assist with corporate initiatives, participating on teams in order to share best practices across Eaton organization.
Ensure stable process on Management of Change is maintained (such as production layout)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in technical field is required for the role. Master's Degree is preferred
Between 5 and 7 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Proven experience in navigating turnaround or crisis management within manufacturing
Technical knowledge of manufacturing process, including maintenance & quality systems
Solid knowledge of: Business Systems which drive performance excellence and unify the company's diverse operations, Total Preventive Maintenance TPM, and Continuous Improvement
Demonstrated ability in budgeting, forecasting, manpower planning, coaching techniques, human relations skills, collaborative techniques
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, automatically assembling, etc.)
Experienced with customer requirements, procedures, standards & product application
Knowledge of interpretation & understanding of Quality Management and ISO
Knowledge of quality discipline, including sampling techniques, cost of quality, experimental design, audit systems, corrective actions & engineering activities, KATA
Ability to facilitate and guide cross-functional process improvement teams
Excellent communications & employee relations skills & the ability to inspire & support subordinatesAbility to manage the teaching, development, encouragement & of personnel in the manufacturing departments
Empowering and inclusive leadership skills and social understanding
Fluency in English language is required, as the role is exposed at international level
