What you'll do:
As a Senior Specification Sales Engineer at Eaton, you will have the opportunity to align your skills, interests, and aspirations with a role that allows you to define your own goals. You will lead the expansion and optimization of Eaton's network of specifying entities-engineering offices, consultants, and end-users-ensuring early involvement in project planning and specification development. You will also play a key role in identifying and tracking projects not specified by Eaton, ensuring internal alignment and follow-up through Salesforce and cross-functional collaboration.
Core Activities
Prospecting: Proactively identify and pursue new specification opportunities through market intelligence and targeted outreach.
Planning Territory: Develop and execute a territory strategy that maximizes engagement with key specifying entities and project influencers.
Qualifying Leads: Strategically assess lead quality and alignment with Eaton's value proposition to prioritize high-impact opportunities.
Building Relationships with Priority Specifying Entities: Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with consultants, engineers, and end-users to influence project direction.
Planning Account Actions: Define and implement account-specific engagement plans that align with long-term business development goals.
Conducting Discovery: Conduct in-depth needs analysis to uncover technical and commercial drivers behind project decisions.
Drafting Initial Concepts: Translate customer requirements into compelling technical and commercial concepts that position Eaton as the preferred solution.
Transferring Descriptive Concepts to Backend: Ensure seamless handover of specification details to internal stakeholders for execution and follow-up.
Communicating with Internal Stakeholders: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and execution across sales, engineering, and operations.
Conducting Business Reviews: Lead strategic reviews to assess pipeline health, customer satisfaction, and growth opportunities.
Managing Pipeline (incl. Opportunity Management and Quote Management): Maintain full visibility and control over the project funnel using CRM tools to drive timely and accurate follow-up.
Handling Administration: Ensure precision and compliance in documentation, reporting, and CRM updates.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to tools, processes, and personal effectiveness to drive long-term success.
Reaching Beyond: Champion cross-functional initiatives and contribute to expanding Eaton's influence in the specification space.
Optimizing & Standardizing Specification Processes: Lead efforts to streamline and scale best practices across the specification function.
Participating in Industry Events & Networking: Represent Eaton at key industry forums to build visibility, gather insights, and strengthen strategic relationships.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or justifiable equivalent education.
Product and Industry Knowledge: Experience in Commercial & Institutional (C&I) Building Projects, preferably in electrical design or project management for large C&I projects, Emergency Lighting product knowledge.
Previous Experience: 5-8 years of experience.
Skills:
Required Languages: fluent in Polish and English
