sign, develop, and control the electrical systems for customer projects. Such projects are mainly for data center fit out, but could include other types of large and complex projects requiring system integration. The role requires an experienced, composed, highly motivated, Electrical Engineer who can effectively communicate and work with a wide variety of stakeholders in a dynamic environment and who demonstrate an understanding of all project's electrical requirements. Eaton's Data Centre projects can involve every aspect of power distribution from low to medium voltage, UPS (uninterrupted power supply), and automation such as EPMS (Energy Power Monitoring System).
What you'll do:
Responsible for Technical Scope Management of projects including but not limited to CDE review and coordination with all relevant stakeholders (internal, external...) from tendering to close-out.
Ensure technical alignment between projects and coordination with customer.
Support PM to manage technical risk by ensuring rapid sharing of lessons learned as well as coordination of approach for maximum effect.
Analyze technical drawings, interpreting specifications, and determining the electrical requirements of a given project.
Coordinate and liaise with Eaton engineers (Product engineers, Power system engineer, Cx team, Quality engineers...) and clients to ensure overall project execution
Provide and manage technical documentation and techsubs (SLD, Layout, Site Methods, Cx process and sequence) for any required projects
Manage and monitor all assigned electrical projects to ensure documentation is delivered on time
Complete quality assurance on electrical components and projects and writing up reports.
Site assignment for a short period of time can be necessary depending on the progress of the execution of the project."
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or master's Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering
3-5 years of experience in Electrical design from a system perspective (MV/LV)
3-5 years of experience in Customer Project Management
Skills:
Datacenter construction project experience /UPS/MV/LV, commissioning experience is a plus
Electrical & System Engineering with power distribution knowledge
CAD experience
Technical ability to write specifications and procedures
Construction site commercial knowledge
Strong collaborative team player with interpersonal skills
Comfortable providing technical presentations to peers, customers and leadership regarding the details of technical issues
Strong analytical skills with the ability to do Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to understand and resolve problems
