    Position summary

    s

    • Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
      • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas

      • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor

      • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility

    Qualifications:

    Basic (Required) Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 1 year welding experience in a manufacturing environment (MIG/TIG)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience with manufacturing fabrication

    • Ability to weld aluminum and steel

    • Experience with high volume, fast paced welding

    Position Criteria:

    • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift

    • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure

    • Accurately measure components and products utilizing tape measures & calipers

    • Ability to read engineering drawings

    • Ability to identify defects and measure workpiece to ensure conformance

    Physical Demands:

    • Repetitive lifting and movement of small and large products / components

    • Exposure to high noise level

    • Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity

    • Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents
