As a Security Engineer on the Perimeter Security Team, you will have the opportunity to channel your enthusiasm and expertise into fortifying our organization's digital infrastructure against cyber threats while working on world class security systems such as proxies, email security, intrusion prevention and secure file transfer. Your proactive and collaborative approach and unwavering commitment to excellence will be instrumental in ensuring the security, availability, and integrity of these systems.

    What You'll Do

    • Implement and maintain security infrastructure

    • Work incident tickets and process tasks assigned to the team

    • Maintain appropriate event logging for detecting and reporting key security events

    • Create and maintain technical system documentation

    • Provide security input into technical efforts such as system, network, application and database design

    • Build relationships across multiple teams, providing our users and clients with an excellent experience

    • For some functions, there may be requirements for on-call work outside normal business hours and scheduled tasks occurring outside business hours.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

    Hiring Minimum: $70659
    Hiring Maximum: $116516

    Skills/Requirements

    What Experience You'll Need

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field

    • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+

    • Knowledge and understanding of security systems, risks, concepts and terminology

    • Professional communication and collaboration skills

    • Hands on experience in large enterprise environments with security aspects of critical technologies (e.g., Linux, Windows, Cloud, Web, Network, Firewalls, Application Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Authentication, Authorization, DNS, Load Balancers and Vulnerability Assessment Tools.

    • Proficient understanding of system and security development lifecycles and Agile methodologies

    • Knowledge and comprehension of scripting languages preferred for automation tasks and enhancements

    • Strong ability to diagnose and resolve security, network, and system issues, sometimes in high pressure situations.

    • Intermediate knowledge of large enterprise proxy systems, secure email solutions, IPS, firewalls, and application firewalls

    • Comprehensive knowledge of network security

    Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
