To prepare you for success in this role, candidates will complete several hours of online courses, training lab exercises, and individual training with a technical mentor to obtain the necessary hands-on experience, gain exposure to various mainframe components, and reinforce key fundamentals as part of the Mainframe Academy Program.
Then, as an Associate Data Center Operations Analyst, you would be responsible for system monitoring, production batch monitoring, workload throughput, as well as batch and system task abend recovery for internal and external client MVS / ZOS / VM/VSE environments.
This position is a shift position:
12 hour "quad" (3 on / 4 off, or 3 off/ 4 on) shifts (Nights and/or Days).
16 week rotation from front half to back half of week.
Weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) and Holidays are required as per Shift Schedule.
Position reports to Manager, Mainframe Operations.
Key Areas of Focus for this Role
Responsible for learning and then performing the duties and requirements of an Associate Data Center Operations Analyst. This includes completing classroom and on the job training to become qualified for performing the duties of the role.
Duties are of a limited nature and are performed under close supervision of an assigned mentor:
Perform data processing operations according to business requirements
Collaborate with system programmers and analysts to resolve system problems
Monitoring and scheduling jobs
Monitoring the running of nightly batch processing jobs
Processing ad hoc requests
Perform system checks
Observe technical computer and related peripheral equipment operation, demonstration, and work procedures and otherwise
Learn to observe indicators on console monitors and the necessary steps to very proper functions throughout tests and production runs
Complete study assignments as required
Learn to analyze problems related to operation scheduling and priorities
Participate in shift-to-shift turnover
This position is a full-time, remote (US only) associate-level job role.

Required Qualifications
Possession of a high school diploma with at least 2 years' work experience; some computer science course work a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Word)

Analytical and critical thinking skills - able to comprehend and apply knowledge
Ability to represent Ensono in a professional manner to clients
Detail-oriented

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this role is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on a full-time schedule. In addition to hourly pay, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
