**Job Description
**The IMS Mainframe Systems Programmer supports ongoing projects requiring the installation, testing, and implementation of IMS and other system software. Responsibilities include maintenance and debugging of IMS systems software, coordination of IOGEN work for new mainframe hardware, and research and evaluation of new IMS software and hardware products. The role also involves assisting team members and other areas with technical questions and problem resolution, as well as monitoring and tuning IMS systems for optimal performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, including formal and informal training on IMS and related technologies.
Lead and execute high-complexity assignments related to IMS installation, customization, and support.
Oversee and review moderate and low-complexity IMS-related assignments performed by others.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for IMS and related mainframe technologies.
Align IMS system strategies and solutions with overall Ensono and client objectives.
Provide technical architect-level support for IMS hardware and software solutions.
Participate in client meetings and new business opportunities, offering IMS expertise.
Collaborate directly with hardware and software vendors on IMS solutions and support.
Review and analyze client IMS software requirements to recommend cost-effective, standard solutions for business proposals.
Mentor and guide less experienced associates in IMS mainframe systems programming.
Design and implement automated monitoring techniques for IMS problem identification and prevention.
Provide and document IMS problem analysis, resolution, and prevention, including the development of procedures and best practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.

Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to perform the full skill set of a Mainframe Systems Programmer with a focus on IMS.
Experience with complex ISV (Independent Software Vendor) installations related to IMS.
Proven ability to lead complex IMS projects and mentor others.
Strong communication skills for client and vendor interactions.
Experience designing and implementing automated monitoring and best practice procedures for IMS environments.
Travel

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $80,000 to $148,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
