Description
The Experian Analytics team develop quality analytics products and services, and deliver it to clients with quality, consistency and efficiency. We also provide professional and transparent advice and support to clients consuming our products and services. The Analytics Manager will lead a team of analysts to deliver data-driven insights and solutions that support strategic decision-making. This role plays a critical part in shaping our analytics capabilities and driving innovation across portfolios.
Management and Team Leadership
Leads Analytical team in their respective roles to accomplish assigned tasks.
Actively manage resources and the deployment of effective recruitment, development and talent management practices to retain high performers.
Encourage a culture of personal development 'ownership' across the team ensuring that everyone has regular performance reviews, career conversations and a structured personal development plan.
Deploy an effective communication strategy to encourage employee engagement and enable a two-way exchange of key information i.e. business messages and employee feedback.
Monitor performance using appropriate KPI's; act where appropriate to address poor performance through the Company's capability procedures.
Management of client and bureau deliveries, including accurate effort estimations, quality control of deliveries and timeline management.
Managing Internal Client Relationships
Develop and maintain influential relationships internally with other departments
Where necessary attend client meetings to support the sales process, provided through expert analytics solutions knowledge.
Support the Analytics Product Manager in enabling sales, the DA consultants and other key stakeholders by providing full documentation of products and services developed, client use case information showcasing the benefit and occasionally partake in training and knowledge share sessions across the business.
Provide regular feedback to the Head of Analytics on performance, quality and timeliness of delivery on projects run in the team. Act as appropriate when agreed standards are not met and escalate all issues that should proactively addressed with the assistance of the Head of Analytics.
Participate in external sales promotional events where appropriate
Strategy and Innovation
Participate in annual strategic planning to create and maintain the Analytics products & service roadmap.
Drive innovative thinking in the team, identifying gaps in current solutions, but also identifying new products that can be created to solve client needs.
Oversee the development of creative and productive solutions utilizing the team's resources.
Collaborate with other teams in Analytics, as well as production teams, to successfully implement new products or deploy changes to existing products at a high level of accuracy and with agility.
Adhere to and role model the highest ethical standards, as well as Experian's core values
Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards
Drive continuous improvement in analytics methodologies and tools
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of experience in analytics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Prerequisite: Practical experience in credit risk portfolio analytics, reporting using visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau), and monitoring
Preferred: Practical experience developing credit risk scorecards or other relevant models
Experience in financial services or a related industry is preferred.
Good understanding of credit risk management across the customer lifecycle.
Ability to adapt to change and lead change management within their team.
Familiarity with cloud platforms
Bachelor's or Master's degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics.
