Description
The Staff Web Engineer - Full Stack (Frontend Heavy) will play a key role in building scalable, consumer-facing web applications within the Marketplace domain in Experian Consumer Services. This role focuses on strong frontend development while having a good understanding of backend (Java) systems to contribute to end-to-end solution design.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test key programs within Marketplace Engineering
Build clean, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces that represent Experian to its consumers
Develop technical solutions with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and performance
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product management, and PMO on product roadmaps and quarterly planning
Participate in code and design reviews to identify issues early and reduce rework
Ensure stable production operations with a focus on uptime, performance, and reliability
Work effectively as part of a global engineering team, ensuring strong collaboration, communication, and timely delivery
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
8 to 11 years of UI engineering experience using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript
Strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular
Experience building modern frontend architectures including Server‑Driven UI (SDUI), GraphQL, and Micro Frontends (MFE)
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and cross‑browser compatibility
Experience with unit and end‑to‑end testing frameworks (Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Playwright, etc.)
Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks (nice to have)
Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques and best practices
Good understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and backend integration patterns
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems concepts
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control systems (Git), and build tools
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices
