    Position summary

    will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Identify strategic needs of the business through understanding Legal team operations and broader enterprise context.

    • Manage our Outside Counsel Program including engaging with internal and law firm stakeholders and administering and enhancing our legal billing and matter management system.

    • Drive Outside Counsel Program process design and enhancements, including evaluating alternative fee arrangements, benchmarking rate and spend metrics, increasing internal transparency and reporting, and improving workflows.

    • Manage and analyze operational spend and budgets.

    • Develop, run and analyze departmental reports.

    • Apply outside counsel and finance-related industry best practices to our program.

    • Coach, mentor and lead a small but vibrant team.

    THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

    Minimum Required Experiences

    • 6 years of legal operations experience.

    • Prior experience managing an Outside Counsel Program including a legal billing platform such as doeLEGAL Ascent, Mitratech TeamConnect, Onit, Thomson Legal Tracker, etc., and owning administrative relationships with law firms (contracting, rate discussions, billing guidelines, etc.).

    • Prior operational budget management experience and financial acumen, including proficiency in identifying and analyzing trends and relationships in financial data.

    • Prior leadership experience to include fostering an inclusive and productive team environment, leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring.

    • Strong operational skills with a commitment to continuous improvement.

    • Skilled in effective relationship management to include managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, and building relationship networks.

    The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
