    Position summary

    Mae's information security activities and systems.

    • Create advanced cyber indicators to maintain awareness of systems and alert when abnormal behavior is detected.
    • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing indicators to detect more advanced threats.
    • Independently monitor cyber threats in real-time.
    • Work with Incident Response to investigate threats and attacks

    There is one opening for this position which can be based in our Reston, VA/Plano, TX/Washington, DC office.

    THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

    Minimum Required Experiences

    • 2 years of experience

    Desired Experiences

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, DLP systems, UEBA platforms, or endpoint monitoring tools (DTEX, S1)

    • Working knowledge of Splunk, SentinelOne, or similar for log review and correlation

    • Experience documenting investigations in SOAR platforms like Swimlane, XSOAR/Demisto, Splunk SOAR, Tines, or similar

    • Understanding of data exfiltration methods (USB, cloud storage, printing, or email forwarding)

    • Comfortable using queries (KQL, SPL, SQL) for analysis or enrichment

    • Basic knowledge of IAG/IAM principles; able to review entitlements and account activity
