    Position summary

    tenir le développement de l'équipe en mettant en place du mentorat et en pilotant des actions d'amélioration.

    • Soutenir le responsable du centre d'excellence local pour la validation de la cédule et du budget des projets pendant la phase d'appel d'offres.

    • Soutenir les intégrateurs systèmes au démarrage et pendant la phase d'exécution, en validant les livrables, les ressources, la planification et le budget.

    • Gérer l'équipe afin de réaliser les lots de conception des projets de réfections en s'appuyant sur les guides de conception à l'intérieur des délais et des budgets.

    • Collaborer avec d'autres COE (centres d'excellence) d'ingénierie dans le monde entier.

    • S'assurer que les dessinateurs appliquent les guides de conceptions en termes de sécurité, de qualité, de fiabilité et de coût en intégrant aussi les retours d'expériences (FOE).

    • Gérer les aspects syndicaux reliés au contrat syndical en vigueur

    • Gérer un spécialiste en gestion du cycle de vie produit (PLM - Product Lifecycle Management) en support aux équipes de conceptions.

    Qualifications requises:

    • Diplôme d'étude collégial en génie mécanique ou électrique

    • Expérience dans le domaine hydroélectrique

    • Expérience en tant que gestionnaire d'équipe, intégrateur système ou gestionnaire d'ingénierie projet

    • Expérience et capacité à travailler dans un environnement multiculturel et dans une organisation globale.

    • Capacité à voyager.

    • Anglais et français courant écrit et parlé: L'employé(e) sera amené(e) à interagir de manière fluide avec des collègues de nos autres installations à travers et/ou à l'extérieur du Canada, et qui sont généralement incapables de communiquer en français et dont la langue de travail est principalement l'anglais

    Qualifications préférées:

    • Baccalauréat en génie mécanique ou électrique

    • Membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)

    • Expérience en conception alternateur et de systèmes auxiliaires (mécaniques ou électriques) pour alternateurs hydroélectriques

    • Expérience de gestion d'une équipe syndiquée serait un atout

    • Proactivité, sens de l'urgence et autonomie

    • Compétences avérées en communication et en leadership.

    • Bonnes capacités d'analyse.

    • Esprit d'équipe, positif, volonté d'apprendre et d'adaptation aux besoins de l'entreprise.

    Job Summary

    The draftsman Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of Generator mechanical and auxiliary drafting technicians dedicated to large modernization projects.

    Job Description

    The main responsibilities / essential functions include:

    As a Team Leader, the candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • Provide support to the local Center of Excellence (COE) manager for the drafting team.

    • Manage the workload of drafters for ongoing and upcoming projects.

    • Manage and recruit drafting resources (internal and external) and assign them to projects.

    • Coach and support new team members to help them become fully autonomous.

    • Support team development by implementing mentoring and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Support the local COE manager in validating project schedules and budgets during the bid/tender phase.

    • Support system integrators during project start-up and execution phases by validating deliverables, resources, planning, and budgets.

    • Manage the team to deliver design work packages for refurbishment projects, using design practices while meeting schedule and budget commitments.

    • Collaborate with other engineering COEs (Centers of Excellence) worldwide.

    • Ensure that drafters apply design guidelines related to safety, quality, reliability, and cost, while also integrating feedback and lessons learned (FOE).

    • Manage union-related matters in accordance with the current collective agreement

    • Manage a PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) specialist in support to design team.

    Required Qualifications

    • College degree in mechanical or electrical engineering

    • Experience in the hydroelectric field.

    • Experience as a Team Leader, System Integrator or Project Engineering Manager.

    • Experience and ability to work in a multicultural environment and within a global organization.

    • Willingness and ability to travel.

    • Fluent in written and spoken English and French: The employee will be required to interact fluidly with colleagues in our other facilities across and/or outside of Canada, and who are generally unable to communicate in French and whose language at work is predominantly English.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

    • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

    • Experience in generator design and auxiliary systems (mechanical or electrical) for hydroelectric generators.

    • Proactive, strong sense of urgency, and ability to work autonomously.

    • Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.

    • Strong analytical abilities.

    • Team-oriented, positive mindset, willingness to learn, and adaptability to business needs.
