    Position summary

    ian code requirements, and to coordinate design reviews between GE and local AE firms.

    • Execute the design/ analysis and reviews of Seismic Category I and Seismic Category II structures.

    • Perform structural analysis for reinforced concrete and steel framed structures for seismic, hydrodynamic, thermal, wind and tornado loads using ANSYS, SAP2000 or GT-STRUDL computer codes.

    • Working knowledge of CNSC Regulatory Guides, Canadian National Building Codes and Standards.

    • Perform work in compliance with policies and procedures.

    • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

    • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.

    • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.

    • Support GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) quality requirements, including participation in design reviews, initiating and responding to Corrective Actions.

    • Provide on-time, quality delivery of engineering documentation in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.

    • 0-3 years of experience in civil/structural design.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • This job will be located at our headquarters in Wilmington, NC (Relocation assistance provided)

    • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of ACI, ASCE and AWS codes and Standards.

    • Ability to effectively communicate and work with others.

    • Fundamental knowledge of TI and BOP systems analyses and design.

    • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.

    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple demands and priorities

    • Perform work in compliance with policies and procedures.

    • PC proficiency

    • Working knowledge of Canadian design codes and requirements.

    • Working knowledge of FEA computer software.

    The base pay range for this position is $70,000 to $101,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Friday, October 3rd.

    The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
