Functional Responsibilities*
Analyze project specifications and technical inputs; prepare compliance responses to customer observations and comments.
Develop and validate technical designs, engineering calculations, and drawings, ensuring cost-effective and optimized solutions.
Select and raise requisitions for IEDs, relays, and Bought-Out Items (BOIs); issue technical specifications to support procurement.
Participate in customer technical meetings to secure timely approvals.
Release manufacturing instructions and project configurations.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including the testing team, for internal validation and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as required.
Provide technical support at site, resolving issues and addressing snag lists.
Prepare as-built documentation post-commissioning.
Share and implement Return of Experience (RoE) during the design phase.
Manage technical interfaces with sub-suppliers and partners, ensuring data consistency and alignment.
Time Schedule & On-Time Delivery
Collaborate with Team Leads and Project Managers to define deliverable timelines and resource commitments.
Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality design outputs.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks to delivery schedules.
Provide weekly project status updates to Team Leads and/or Project Managers.
Project Strategy, Risk Management, Process & Tools
Align with overall project strategy and highlight any scope or design changes for claim or VO consideration.
Track and manage project risks and deviations, implementing mitigation plans as needed.
Adhere to quality procedures, work instructions, and engineering processes.
Deploy appropriate engineering tools as per project strategy.
Proactively anticipate delivery issues and recommend corrective actions.
Sourcing, Procurement & Supplier Management
Issue technical specifications and documentation to support procurement activities.
Coordinate and review supplier technical offers for compliance and suitability.
Manage technical interfaces with sub-suppliers and partners, ensuring data consistency and alignment.
Required Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.E. / B.Tech - Electrical & Electronics or Electrical): 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
Diploma in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics or Electrical): 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
