    Position summary

    engineering team to execute several project activities related Engineering design and analysis, Automation and design tools, Services and Parts continuous improvement and Lean projects, product marketing and business development, and data analytics

    The primary responsibilities include many of the following:

    • Development and testing on design and Automation tools

    • Data organization and simplification of technical reports (Services and Parts)

    • Digitization and organization of Physical records

    • Perform preliminary design calculations using in-house design software, and hand calculations.

    • Improve Services and Parts quotes based on historical data analytics

    • Deliver engineering study reports based on analyses and calculations using a wide variety of design and analytical tools

    • Develop 3-D models, drawings and BOM for smaller subcomponents of Large Electric machines based on guidance from other team members

    • Provide technical support to engineering, sourcing, Parts, field services and product services personnel

    Educational Qualifications:

    • Students pursuing Engineering degree - Level 1 to Level 4 from Canadian University (preferably in Ontario)

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Engineering students from various disciplines (Level 1 to Level 4)

    • Strong background in Engineering Physics, Chemistry, Material Science and Engineering fundamentals

    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation

    • Knowledge of common manufacturing processes, shop tolerances and industry standards

    • Proficiency with software programs such as MS office, AutoCAD, Pro-E, MathCAD, Java, Python, Fortran, UNIX and Microsoft OS

    • Growth and Learning mindset

    • Willingness to explore a variety of Engineering related tasks

    This opportunity is intended for current students who will be returning to their in-class studies upon the completion of the work term in Fall 2023. It is not intended for candidates who will have graduated prior to the start of this position.
