Prepare piping spools and components for welding and inspection.
Verify material identification and ensure proper tagging of fabricated components.
Identify and report drawing discrepancies, material shortages, or quality concerns to the Supervisor.
Maintain compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
Support hydrotest and pressure test preparation activities when required.
Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
Maintain housekeeping standards and 5S discipline in the work area.
Coordinate with welders, inspectors, and area leaders to ensure smooth workflow.
Participate in continuous improvement and productivity initiatives within the pipe shop.
Required Qualifications
Technical diploma or equivalent experience in piping fabrication.
Minimum 3 years of experience in pipe fabrication or similar manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret piping isometric drawings.
Experience in pipe cutting, fit-up, and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with measuring tools (tape measure, caliper, level, etc.).
Basic understanding of piping tolerances and alignment requirements.
Ability to work in a physically demanding shop-floor environment.
Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in skid or modular equipment manufacturing
Familiarity with ASME piping standards and project specifications.
Experience in oil & gas or industrial equipment fabrication.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Good communication skills and disciplined work behavior.
