Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide technical interface lead of assigned tests. Act as primary customer interface responsible for CTQ's & deliverables. Responsible for planning, preparation and satisfactory execution facility modifications for test programs.
Follow/implement applicable C&DT(component development test) organization processes, including eTOS, Green tag, HazOp, Red Flag, and Tollgate Reviews.
Understand existing test & facility capabilities.
Collaborate with customers to design new test capabilities that can be achieved within existing capabilities or through feasible, approved extensions of lab capabilities and P&E planning.
Work closely with technical leaders, test engineers, technicians, data acquisition/controls team and hourly trades to identify & implement test facility improvements.
Projects manage facility related activities including the design & coordination of facility mods; operations planning and documentation.
Provide technical lead & review of new equipment designs/ installations
Deliver technical presentations at design & program reviews.
Maintain Test Record File for facility modifications and ISO compliance.
Establish work priorities consistent with Lab goals & objectives.
Ensure technical objectives are met. Drive schedule to support financial objectives for test and facility improvements.*
Lead, organize and/or team member of design projects to prepare test rig.*
Perform test operations in support of test point matrix.*
Provide technical guidance and work planning inputs to crafts and technicians.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aero Engineering, or related technical discipline
Minimum of 3 years of industry-related experience in a facility or similar
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Knowledge of test methodologies, test instrumentation and measurement systems, power plant and process equipment data acquisition systems and data processing.
Skillful problem solver and troubleshooter.
Knowledgeable in Unigraphics and/or AutoCAD.
Turbo machinery and/or mechanical GT/ST I&FS TA experience.
Strong technical communication (verbal and written) and ability to lead cross-functional team; Commitment to customer, teamwork and team success.
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $88,600.00 - 147,600.00 USD per year. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% annual performance incentive.
