    Position summary

    design and implement mitigation plans as needed.

    • Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities across all design phases.

    • Develop and maintain the project strategy, Master Document List (MDL), and delivery schedule.

    • Prepare and validate basic and detailed technical designs, engineering calculations and drawings; ensure compliance with customer comments and specifications.

    • Lead and participate in design reviews, ensuring adherence to quality procedures, work instructions, and engineering processes.

    • Attend customer technical meetings to secure timely approvals.

    • Select and finalize IEDs, relays, and Bought-Out Job materials (BOJ); raise purchase requisitions in line with delivery timelines.

    • Release manufacturing instructions and project configurations.

    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including the testing team, and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure closure of open points.

    • Provide technical support at site, resolving issues and managing snag lists.

    • Prepare and submit as-built documentation post-commissioning.

    • Capture and apply Return on Experience (RoE) in future project designs.

    • Manage technical interfaces with sub-suppliers and partners, ensuring data consistency and alignment.

    • Track and manage the evolution of input data throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Adhere to all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) procedures and demonstrate a strong commitment to safe working practices.

    Time Delivery & Execution Monitoring

    • Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality design deliverables to all stakeholders.

    • Monitor and manage detailed execution progress in alignment with customer milestones.

    • Coordinate with the Team Lead or Project Manager to schedule technical meetings with stakeholders as needed to align designs.

    • Identify and document extra work for Variation Order (VO) preparation where applicable.

    • Track and manage design time spent on relevant activities, ensuring adherence to budget.

    • Escalate to the Team Lead or Project Manager when fast-tracking is required to meet critical milestones.

    Qualification :

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) or (Electrical)

    8-10 years of experience independently managing Protection & Control design activities for switchyard and generator applications.

    • Strong knowledge of Protection IEDs, protection philosophies, and system concepts.

    • Familiarity with cubicle manufacturing processes, including panel layout, wiring, and assembly standards.

    • Proficient in engineering calculations and use of design tools for protection and control systems.

    • Solid understanding of power systems and primary equipment used in substations and generation plants.

    • Working knowledge of Substation Automation Systems (SAS) is an added advantage.

    • Well-versed in utility-specific practices and standards, ensuring compliance with diverse customer requirements.

    • Knowledgeable in project organization and engineering processes, contributing to efficient project execution and delivery.
