he Value Stream Operations function, you will be an active contributor to successful overall project execution across GE Vernova Steam Power Services. This role is responsible to own, maintain, improve and implement Order-to-Remittance (OTR) processes.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibility for Outage Standards, Processes and Productivity in Steam Power Services
Research and analyze past outages for Cost, Manpower, Scope of work and Schedule for use in Outage Standard creation and improvement
Interact with business segments to create contents of new and existing Outage Standards
Compile new Outage Standards including Job Cost Estimates (JCE), Manpower Plans, Scopes of Work, Divisions of responsibilities and Standard Resource Loaded Schedules
Review and update existing Outage Standards with improvements
Own all aspects of the Outage-End-to-End process for the Outage Planning Phase
Act as a subject matter expert for the Outage Planning Process in Steam Power Services
Perform continuous improvements on the Outage Planning Process, initiated from various adverse events (including CoPQ, NCRs and Safety Events)
Deploy process improvements to the organization, using Change Acceleration Process principles (CAP), including training and communication campaigns
Manage and maintain the software tools used for Outage End-to-End Processes and Value Stream Maps
Analyze and assess Outage Planning quality/effectiveness for critical outages
Interact with segments to correct Outage Planning failures for critical outages
Produce accurate reports for Outage Planning effectiveness
Develop and support the creation of daily management for Outages
Support development, analysis and reporting of Value Stream Management activities
Analyze inventory, ageing, Takt performance, actual cycle and lead times for value streams in Steam Power Services
Produce value stream management reports/dashboards for value streams in Steam Power Services
Implement LEAN methodologies across all areas of responsibility
Participate in Kaizens and transformation projects
Travel: Less than 15% as needed in support of the above responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant professional work experience)
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Project Management, fields services or power generation
Experience with Services on OEM steam turbines and/or generators and contract management, pricing and conditions
Pro-active and autonomous worker
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Desired Characteristics
Fluency in Primavera schedule creation and manipulation
Good written communication and reporting skills
Operates well in a multi-company matrix team structure
Exhibits leadership traits and abilities
English proficiency required
