What You Will Do
As part of a skilled and supportive protection engineering team, you will:
Design protection concepts for FACTS applications for medium-voltage and high-voltage substations
Calculate and validate protection settings based on:
Configure and test protection relays from multiple manufacturers
Analyze fault behavior and define appropriate protection functions and coordination
Plan and participate in:
Produce and review high-quality technical documentation
Participate in technical discussions with customers, project teams, and suppliers
Support sales, R&D, and standardization activities with protection expertise
Contribute to commissioning of FACTS equipment (STATCOM, SVC)

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems
Solid understanding of power system protection principles
Knowledge of:
Ability to analyze problems systematically and work with incomplete data
Good written and spoken English
Willingness to travel occasionally
Considered a Strong Advantage
Experience with protection of:
Hands on experience with protection relay configuration or testing
Ability to create protection panel schematic drawings using Engineering Base or similar design tools
Familiarity with different relay vendors or protection philosophies
Finnish or other additional languages
