    Position summary

    out or modified. The installation and/or adaptation of this equipment and it's operation requires the application of mechanical engineering knowledge and skills.

    Essential Responsibilities

    The safe installation and alignment of the following:

    • large rotating machines

    • shaftlines

    • couplings

    • bearing and lubrication systems

    • heavy electrical equipment.

    • Assisting in the safe commissioning and operation of any system, plant or equipment as required by the Commissioning/Test Manager.

    • Carrying out the proper maintenance, storage, protection and use of any machinery or equipment associated with the MPTF Facility as directed by the Site Manager and / or the Site Engineering Team.

    • Previous experience of working in a safety conscious, practical, environment overseeing other Technicians is essential.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

    • Recognised Health and Safety training.

    • Previous experience within a Commissioning role or environment.

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Self-Motivated, Dynamic.

    • Able to work on own initiative with minimal support in a customer facing environment. This is a highly demanding role frequently working under pressure.

    • Flexible attitude to working pattern is required.

    Desired Characteristics

    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    • Experience of Noise & Vibration Measurement

    • Valid Passport to Safety training certificate, IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.

    • Overhead Crane License
