    Position summary

    MEA; own review & approval with Chief Engineer.

    • Develop and manage risk mitigation through product validation plan; including full-scale test blade & uptower prototype blades.

    • Align with transportation, installation, and fleet services teams to ensure risk mitigation for full life-cycle.

    • Ensure design reviews are in accordance with GE Vernova Wind Engineering best practices.

    • Maintain blade design load envelope and coordinate with Systems Loads team for changes to load configurations.

    • Ensure lessons learned and safety/quality improvements are integrated into the design process.

    • Support blade factory & field quality issue resolution.

    • Own technology implementation into NPI blade design.

    • Provide technical underwriting on new blade designs and design changes.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

    • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in wind industry

    • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15%.

    Desired Characteristics

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.

    • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, and ability to apply them to both a factory and a field setting.

    • Experience in composite structural design, analysis, and/or manufacturing.

    • Experience with employing quality practices as LEAN, Design for Reliability,

    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

    • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute technical programs.

    • Proven record of being team oriented and results driven with experience in mentoring new technical engineering talent to guide their growth and career advancements.

    • Established project management skills.
