Main Activities
This position is tasked with developing and executing the Procurement & Fulfillment strategies, process anchored on lean principles, while driving supplier OTD, managing supply risk, managing outcomes and relationships with suppliers. In this role, you will:
Manage the Procurement/Fulfillment functions within the Power Conversion Solution business which include purchase order release, acknowledgement, monitoring goods and documentation delivery, and make receipt of material in ERP.
Good knowledge on the tax implications of moving material across geography and interfacing with finance, compliance team to ensure that taxes do not become a cost to the project
Support the B2P process thru ensuring invoices are payable after alignment with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and following internal processes
The global COE procurement team will cover procurement and fulfillment for PCS regions, related to managing some local and global suppliers and being organized per commodity or project buy depending on business needs.
Secondary activities
Develop and follow an operating rhythm thru standardization of process by using lean principles.
Key performance indicators to be identified for every process, cycle times to be established and maintained thru continuous monitoring.
Develop excellent tools, processes, expertise and behaviors related to procurement and fulfillment.
Conduct root cause analysis for re occurrent issues and implement correction and corrective action.
Focus on identification and elimination of waste in all process.
Organize appropriate connection and rhythm with regional internal stakeholders to adjust deliverables up to final client needs (OTD, quality expediting and inspection).
Determine a clear plan to manage various stake holders including internal customer, finance and suppliers.
Identify the trigger events for issues and implement suitable resolution mechanism.
Provide visibility to all stake holders on the deliverables.
Extend support to for exemptional payments and troubleshoot payment related issues
Identify, maintain, and improve the cost related metrices for procurement and fulfillment activity.
Define and execute efficient Procurement/Fulfillment processes anchored on lean principled for related scope.
Serve as the focal point for the PCS business on Procurement/Fulfillment.
Drive continuous process improvement, to achieve optimal business outcomes and deliver on metrics/KPI targets.
Drive negotiations with suppliers and cross functional teams targeted at achieving OTD and cost optimization.
Collaborate with global supporting resources (project management, engineering, product line, quality, supply chain, and regional teams) to achieve fulfillment plan and ensure adequate cycle time to procure materials/services.
Lead a team dedicated to executing efficient Procurement/Fulfillment processes, optimizing delivery (OTD), cycle time for each activity like purchase order release etc.
Manage appropriate training for the COE team and recommend to local procurement people to develop / maintain best in class tools and processes and behaviors.
Contribute to cash and inventory forecasting processes essential to optimize cash flow within the business.
Interface with the larger GE Vernova Procurement/Fulfillment community to maximize outcomes, while optimizing base cost
Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering preferred.
Proven track record of performance and related accomplishments
Working knowledge of SAP proficiency
Demonstrated leadership skills in a matrix environment
Experience leading groups/people and influence at all levels of the organization
Experience in procuring and moving materials across geographies /legal entities
