th Quality organization (e.g. Product Quality Engineer) to ensure product verification at appropriate repair stages, ensuring Critical-to-Quality (CtQ) characteristics are achieved
Conducts training to repairs/production technicians and assess for competency
Focal point for product repairs technical discussions/implementations with internal GE stakeholders, e.g. Advanced Manufacturing Repairs Technology Center
Review and dispose on product nonconformity through Perfection Review and Non-conformance Reports
Drive internal Root Cause Analysis and effective Corrective and Preventive actions
Drive initiatives to increase productivity, product/process yield and reduce Cost of Poor Quality
Review and approve incoming condition and final repair reports
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Required Qualifications
Engineering Degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
1-3 years operational, quality and process/product engineering experience in related industry preferred
Strong communications, interpersonal and influencing skills
Aero-derivatives or HDGT Gas Turbine component repairs experience will be an added advantage
Desired Characteristics
Good understanding or applied experience in interpreting engineering drawings
Analytical skills & experience in performing Root Cause Analysis
Meticulous and data driven in reviewing and making dispositions
